Ornamental Trees

Our ornamental deciduous tree range is one of the most comprehensive available from a New Zealand wholesale nursery. We specialise in specimen-quality trees that provide year-round interest — from spring blossom through to stunning autumn colour.

Our ornamental range includes a wide selection of Acers (Japanese maples), Betula (birch), Cercis (Judas tree), Cornus (dogwood), Gleditsia (honey locust), Liquidambar, Prunus (flowering cherry and plum), Robinia and many more popular landscape varieties.

All trees are grown on our Taranaki property and are available primarily bare root during the winter season, or bagged on request.

Fruit Trees

Michielsen's Tree Nursery grows a comprehensive range of fruit trees for the wholesale market. Our fruit trees are budded and grafted to proven rootstocks, ensuring healthy, productive trees for your customers.

We grow apples, pears, plums, cherries, nectarines and other popular varieties, available in a range of rootstocks to suit different growing conditions and end-use requirements.

🌱 Bare Root

Our primary supply method. Trees are lifted during winter dormancy and supplied bare root — the most cost-effective option for trade customers ordering in volume. Bare root trees establish quickly when planted correctly.

🪴 Bagged on Request

Trees can also be supplied bagged on request, giving your customers a longer planting window and improved establishment results. Ideal for retail sales requiring an extended selling season.
